I forgot to mention that I went to the Louvre today. I´m not one for museums, and this one in particular was a bit too crowded for me. The ticket agents were on strike, so everyone got in for free. So, actually, because it was free, I didn´t feel bad that I only spent about 20 minutes there before getting bored and trying my hand at l'Orangerie. It seems that I don´t have a good eye for art...I saw the Monet´s, the Picasso´s, the Degas...they just didn´t do anything for me. My mind kept wandering to other things...no matter how hard I tried to focus on the moment.
The line up for l'Orangerie was very long and it was dismally rainy. I and my umbrella defended my spot against the ¨line passers¨...you know, the people who start behind you, then suddenly they´re beside you...they look over and smile as if to say ¨what a nice day!¨, then the next time the line moves, somehow they´re in front of you. It´s an unbelievable phenomenon to me, these line-passers. It's like they're not happy unless they've gotten ahead of at least one person. Being a single traveller, I tend to get the bump a lot. In line for Doisneau, I had to wait an extra 15 minutes because about five people managed to ease in and get into the group ahead of me. Since then, what I lack in space, I make up for in nerve. Now I tap people on the shoulder and say ´pardon´ and glance behind me. Usually that´s enough, they´ll usually sheepishly retreat... Still, it's a phenominon I´ll never understand.

Hi Sweetheart,
I found looking back at pasts blogs you've wrote about France that I find I can make comments to them.
As far as art goes our cable company in Michigan is offering a cable channel that is connected to museums all over the world.
You go to the channel and pick what art museums you want to view their artwork and paintins.
I don't subscribe to digital anymore because with high speed internet which I will never give up and go back to dial-up is very costly.
We rent mailed movies now and there is more documentarie and movies in a wider range of what our cable company would never present.
In other words that database of the video online website is more practical price wise and you pick and not what the cable company hands you.
I know people say that the government was or who knows is still trying to find what people read and view on any media format. I feel that we are more democratic with an open and free society.
But you know I feel that reruns with cable companies are ripping people off because they run movies in one month over and over again.
I have not printed any of your posts due to end of month not having ink. I save your photos though for my picture file. I love to have them as wallpaper.
By the way our local newspaper is in knowledge of your travels and I mentioned that as a little girl you always wanted to be a reporter or journalist. Now you are an amateur. Perhaps one day you will be able to work for a major or like our local newspaper because of this experience of blogs of your travels so far.
Love Aunt Joanne
