Today was "Ladies Day" in Rome, where women get in free to all the major touristic sites. Lol, leave it to the Italians to have a Ladies Day ;) So, I went to the Colosseum but didn't go in, the line was long and I've already seen it on my grade 10 art trip. I also went to the Palatine Hill and sat in the Garden. I fed the birds near the ruins of old Rome.
Later, I went for a walk through the area surrounding the Colosseum and had lunch in a cute little side-street cafe. The waiter gave me a little yellow flower, which I pressed into my journal.
In the evening, I went to the Disco (that's what they call dance clubs in Europe) with my roomates from Brazil and New York.

Things I've Learned
- To be patriotic. Canada is my favorite country so far :D
- How to read a 24 hour clock...Finally!
- How to navigate the Italian train system
- That I love my family...well, I always knew this, but now I appreciate it a lot more!
- That I love my friends too! Wow, I miss everyone sooo much.
- How to make small talk
- That I would chose to visit a farm/vinyard or hike through a forest over going to a museum any day.
- That I don't like Picasso...go Group of Seven!
- That being in nature makes me feel peaceful and at ease
- That I'm a crazy bird lady, and I love feeding birds in the park
- That I'm really, really bad at flirting
- That I don't miss watching TV (at all), but I do miss watching movies
- That Canadian men need advice from Europian men (the french in particular) on how to woo a woman...

Here it's Sunday night. Just got back from Karaoke. I sang two songs; "Help Me Make It Through The Night", and "Without You What Would I Do With Me?".
Well the last song above is what Joe asked me to sing. Of course I did not sing it before but he thought I did and it was someone else. But I sang it pretty good.
Friends cheered me afterward. What are friends for if not that! lol.
Well Tori it sounds this month is more exciting and more interesting to you where you were and where you are now and where you're going.
Glad to have the chance to hear from you and we can't wait to see you back home safe and sound. Not that you're not safe thereabouts.
But in your own country they take care of their own. So does family.
